This is a funny joke I heard from Hal Goldman--
Why do cows have such great job satisfaction?
Because they are outstanding in their field!

Our Store!!!
Well, it suddenly came to my attention that I had posted pictures of the store being built but I never showed the final results! Here is our store on eagle and fairview... its a beaut and we doing very well despite the not-so-well economy, thank heaven for those blessings!!!
There was a bit of a windstorm when this was taken, kind of tore our new signs!

I wouldn't exactly say I have been busy the last few weeks but I have certainly had a lot going on which means there is a lot to update on now that I have taken the time to sit down and do it... plus my camera was MIA. Blake has been very busy at the store and I have been helping out on the side. I also finally took my NCLEX and caught up on birthday parties, Halloween and housework!
I officially have chosen my job, and I chose to do Pediactrics with Progressive Nursing. They have excellent repoire in the community and since I am still childless I am really excited to work with kids. One of my best rounds of clinicals was when I helped out at a preschool for peds. Helping and working with the kids just came so natural to me and I really enjoyed it, which I credit to growing up as the oldest sibling and doing LOTS of babyitting! Anyways I will be starting Progressive in December and I am so excited to be doing a job I love with some brave and amazing kids!
Oh and remember... be nice to me, because I might be your nurse someday.

The Latest
I'm one of those bloggers that really appreciates pictures to go along with everything, but since my camera is broken and my family stole back the camera I was borrowing from them, pictures will have to wait! Well I had my graduation and it was spectacular! It was so wonderful to have everything done! As a student rep I did most of the planning and it all seemed to have gone well! And Blake (with a little outside encouragement) suprised me with a bouqet of orange roses, they were beautiful!! It is such a relief to have it all over!! Not really sure if it was worth a massive episode of GERD and gastritis from all the stress... but hey alls well that ends well!! After graduation we had our lovely and much needed vacation to DisneyLand, and now we are back at the roost. I have been doing some job hunting, and luckily I'm in an area where I can be very picky. So far I have narrowed down to two jobs, one is at a medical research facility where physicians do research on things like insomnia, pain and diabetes. The other job is working with handicapped and special needs children, where I will be assisting them with their medical needs and either staying at home with them or helping them in school. But before I can get my hands on either of these jobs, I need to take my NCLEX which I am taking tomorrow! Please say a little prayer that I will survive!! And in the meantime, Blake has been running his satellite business. We feel so blessed because the economy hasn't seemed to bother our business volume, and I thank heaven that I dont have to worry about Blake and his work. Thanks everyone! Pictures to come!

Fun in Disneyland!!!
My parents took all the kids and Blake and I for a week in Cali, visiting the Happiest Place on Earth, Cali adventure, Magic Mountain and a night in Las Vegas! Woo hoo! We were all so excited to go on this trip because this was the first trip where all the kids were old enough to go on the same rides (but we still did the teacups!!!) and since Callie leaves for college next year, this was probably the last trip with all of us together for a long time! Thanks mom and dad! You are the best!!!
Ahhh.... beautiful 100 degree fall weather....
Had some long lines waiting for Indiana Jones, but baby its worth it!!!
On the way to Cali we grabbed a bite at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas!

Perfectly happy... in the happiest place on earth!

Before the water ride...

so... pretty? We all had such a great time!!! Didn't get any pictures of Magic Mountain, but we wish we could have gotten pictures of all our faces when we rode the new X2 rollercoaster!! It was pure terror and for some crazy reason they let my little bro on...and right in the middle his sneaker flew off! I was so terrified that when I saw that I started laughing and couldn't stop! And afterwards we all talked about how that was the scariest rollercoaster we had ever ridden, but all Brennen cared about was his lost shoe! Family... what can ya do?
