Its a Girl!!!

21 Weeks Its a Girl! The excitement cannot be contained! When the ultrasound tech told us for sure I got so emotional that my mascara ran into my eye and I could hardly watch the rest of the ultrasound :) And to my excitement at week 17 she announced herself by doing some gymnastics that I could no longer mistake for gas! She gets the hiccups all the time which I secretly love, a thumbsucker like I was, and she loves to snuggle right on top of my bladder. This pregnancy finally feels like its real! And I already love her so much! So much that Ive forgotten my 4 1/2 months of misery. Its been so fun to see Blakes excitement. after 2 years of stifling excitement weve busted out and already bought a few things and tackled some furniture projects.

And I almost forgot, Blake had an ingenious and completely hilarious way to announce the gender to our parents, (or as my mom said "its sexual orientation" lol). We filled two Sobe bottles with jello and let it harden. Our parents had to dig through the jello to find the paper at the bottom that they thought had the answer! When they finally reached the bottom (by using knives and banging it on the sink for 30 min) it was an invitation to our house. Upon arrival we had an ice cream cake and balloons saying Its a Girl! With all the ruckus we caused youd have thought we had already had her home with us :)

For now though, I enjoy everyday that I have her all to myself.

13 1/2 Weeks!!!

It may not seem so in this picture (due to a frusterating camera phone) but Blake and I are so happy and so excited. Our baby gave us a high 5 at our ultrasound and despite me not being very healthy for the 1st trimester everything is progressing normally. Food is my mortal enemy. Can hardly eat it, hardly anything tastes good, thank heaven for Zofran. Allow me to vent for a moment, I never thought the day would come when food would be my nemesis and I couldnt enjoy my favorite things because they tasted horrible and everything else tasted less horrible. ok im done. its worth it a million times over. There is happiness here trust me. (:

We did have to say goodbye to Dr. Faulk and Dr. Slater, our fertility specialists which was sad but they did their job well. As for the baby bump which i thought for sure id have by now... well theres nothing there except a whole lot of bloat. I get a kick out of people thinking im finally showing when its really just my lunch that they are rubbing, lol. Im determined to enjoy every minute because i know baby will be here before we know it.(:

FINALLY!!!

After a long two years of waiting (but luckily only one shot at fertility treatment) we are so excited to know that we are finally starting our family! We breezed through Halloween and Thanksgiving without a second thought because we are so happy and so excited! Still kind of in the shock phase... so many ultrasounds with nothing, so is there really something in there? But we went in for our 7 week ultrasound and that little heartbeat could not have been a more beautiful sight to us.

we feel so blessed, we went through one round of IUI, which is NOT FUN, and first time was the charm! I was scared to death about twins because i actually had 2 eggs ready but Heavenly Father was nice and just gave us one (:

We are 8 weeks along, I am at a loss to gender! I guess ive been distracted with the intense bouts of nausea and vomiting and heartburn... I freaked out when I saw i lost 10 pounds and my doctor laughed saying dont worry, it will come back!

Thanks to our friends and family for their constant prayers for this little miracle to occur, we truly felt the love and support.

I cant get enough of summer (:

I never liked summer until I met Blake, but ever since he introduced me to diving into acrtic temperature waters, fishing, cliff diving, and one-man tent camping, I cant get enough of it. That pretty much sums up our summer, its been great! Our latest excursion was to the beautiful and evidently Boise-popular Oregan coast. It was a pretty good birthday present if I do say so myself!

Yes that is the ocean, and yes we are crazy! We swam everday we were there, and thanks to Brian and Clarisa the ice cold water didnt put me into hypothermia (:

We had a huge swell the last day, the waves were so big that only blake and my dad could get up to them!

--- and for anyone wondering about the "oven"---

However, I am excited to say the oven is much smaller, say about 10 lbs smaller! Blake and I have been exercising and eating well to get healthy before we get pregnant. I lost 10 lbs (thank goodness because I now fit back into my summer clothes) and Blake has lost a whopping 20! The update is I have an appointment in September to go see a fertility specialist and Im getting really excited! Wish me luck!

Before you meet my celebrity husband, you need to learn from our mistakes about early morning Adrenaline rushes... So here is our rule of thumb:

YOU PROBABLY MISSED IT. Coincidentally, I woke up at 8:24 AM, very rested. We were lucky enough to remember daylight savings but not enough to double check the alarm clock. hence the walk of shame trying to sneak in just as sacrament meeting is ending.

On to more interesting topics, you may think the picture below is my husband. Lately I have had several people swear to me that they have seen my husband on a TV show called Mercy. Little does everyone know, that Blake has had a huge acting career since High School, and he secretly flies to LA for his hit TV dramas. His best role was the hit series, Dawson's Creek, and he used the alias James Van Der Beek.

You may be saying, It cant be so! But it is! Here I am marrying James Van der Beek, that is why I look so happy!

Still dont believe me? Then how do you explain Blakes nickname is "Beek"!

so there. But do us a favor and keep it on the DL, we dont want Hollywood getting upset...

True Story!

Good Practice I S'pose...

Ive never been accused of being Holly Homemaker, I thought things like baking bread were for old people who were bored. I used to fear going near sewing machines... I would get this kind of vietnam flashback of being little and getting pins stabbed into my feet after walking into my grandmas sewing room!

But after recieving a sewing machine from my hubby, i somehow overcame childhood foot injury trauma, and with the help of my mom here is my first piece of work!
I gave it to Clarisa and baby Trevor. Not bad for someone who broke 8 needles. Good practice right?
